What is Revver?
Revver is the first video network that pays. We connect makers, sharers, and sponsors of internet video in a free and open marketplace that rewards them for doing what they do best. How does Revver work?
It's really simple: you upload a video to Revver, and we attach an ad and our unique tracking technology to "Revverize" the video. Any ad revenue generated by your video is split 50/50 between you and Revver. Since ads are attached to the video itself and dynamically served wherever your video travels, there's no restriction on how your videos are distributed. The more people email your video, post it to other websites or download it from P2P networks, the more money you could earn.

You can then track your video's performance through your Revver account, which tells you exactly how many times your video is watched, and how much money you're earning.

To increase the value of the entire Revver network, we also reward people for sharing videos. You can earn 20% of ad revenue for sharing videos by other Revver members. The remaining revenue is split 50/50 between the maker and Revver.

How do I make money?
Revver is all about empowering makers and sharers of video by providing easy tools for distribution and sharing revenue with our members.

When you upload your video to Revver, we attach an advertisement and our unique tracking technology to it. We call this "Revverizing." There are two ways that your video and the associated ad can generate revenue: from impressions/views of the ad (CPM ads), and from clicks on the ad (CPC ads). When a viewer sees a CPM ad associated with your video, you get paid, no click required. When a viewer clicks on a CPC ad associated with your video, you get paid. In both cases, Revver splits the revenue with you 50/50. Please note that not every impression or click will result in revenue, as some advertisers only buy traffic from the US and Canada, and also multiple repeated impressions or clicks from a single user on a single video are scrubbed as duplicates.

You can track video's performance through your Revver account, which tells you exactly how many times your video is watched, and how much money you're earning.

Since ads are attached to the video itself, there's no restriction on how your videos are distributed. The more people email your video, post it to other websites or download it from P2P networks, the more money you could earn.

To increase the value of the entire Revver network, we also reward people for sharing videos. You can earn 20% of ad revenue for sharing videos by other Revver members. The remaining revenue is split 50/50 between the maker and Revver.

How much money can I make?
The exact amount of money you earn per view or click is variable. We are constantly working to improve the value of our network so we can negotiate better rates. So keep uploading and sharing - it's good for everyone!

How and when do I get paid?
In your dashboard, your "current earnings" are recent earnings that are still processing. After 30 days, earnings move left into your "pending payment" column, and once you have $20 or more in your pending payment column you will receive payment on the next payment date.

The cut-off date for each pay period is the last day of each month, so to receive payment in, say, February, you need to have a pending payment of at least $20 by Jan 31. Payments will be made by the last day of each month to all accounts that had pending payments of $20 or more on the last day of the previous month.

Payments are made to the PayPal account you specified when creating your account. If you didn't include your PayPal information during registration, you can go back and add it now in your account preferences.

In your dashboard earnings display, "Total Paid to Date" displays the total amount paid to you over all time.

"Pending Payment" is the income you will be paid on the next payout day (if over $20). These earnings are subject to review before payment is made.

Your "Current Earnings" are recent earnings that are still processing.

What does "Revverized" mean?
Your video + our ad-matching and tracking technology = "Revverized" content. The video file created when you upload to Revver includes both the advertisement as well as an embedded ID that allows you to track your video wherever it appears online via email, website or P2P. You provide the original content; we take care of the rest!

What does it mean to opt in to new distribution channels (broadcast/mobile)?
To get your videos seen by as many people as possible, we've been hard at work building our network of syndication partners. This means partnering with lots of websites and web services platforms to get your videos in front of as many eyeballs as possible. You may even be able to share your videos on television and mobile devices! By enabling broadcast and mobile distribution, you still maintain ownership of your content and Revver shares with you any revenue generated by these new distribution partnerships. It's a great chance to get your videos to an even wider audience and tap into new ways of making money. You must enable these distribution channels to participate, so visit your account preferences to set your broadcast and mobile settings.

What kind of videos can I submit?
You can submit just about any kind of video you want, as long as you're the creator

We here at Revver strive daily to make sure that the content on our site is original and that the creators are properly credited and compensated for their work.

We have a staff of knowledgeable reviewers, who personally review each and every video before posting it publicly on the site. If your video gets wrongly rejected, you will have the chance to prove that it belongs to you.

What constitutes adequate proof will vary for each video. You might need to show written proof that you own the rights or you might just need to explain to us that you made the music and link to your band's website. It really depends on the situation. Our reviewers are just looking for something that makes them feel comfortable enough that an artist's copyright is not being infringed.

You should also know that if anyone were to contact us stating that there was some sort of infringement regarding a particular video, the matter would be investigated immediately!

How do I share Revver videos?
The Revver system is built on sharing. You don't have to be a video creator to participate. You can share Revver videos on your blog, social networking profile, via email or instant message, peer to peer networks, etc. As long as you're logged into Revver, you should see your affiliate ID included in the link or filename of the video you're sharing. Whenever anyone clicks the ad on that video, you earn 20% of the revenue.

People who upload their own films to video-sharing website YouTube will soon get a share of the ad revenue.

YouTube founder Chad Hurley confirmed to the BBC that his team was working on a revenue-sharing mechanism that would reward creativity .

The system would be rolled out in a couple of months, he said, and use a mixture of adverts, including short clips shown ahead of the actual film.

YouTube has more than 70m users a month and was recently bought by Google.

The offer applies only to people who own the full copyright of the videos that they are uploading to the YouTube website.

The company, which Google bought in November last year for $1.65bn, was currently working on "audio fingerprinting" technologies to identify copyrighted material, Mr Hurley said in a session on social networking at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

Speaking to the BBC after the session, he declined to give further details, saying that YouTube was still working out the technology and processes involved - both for the rewards system and the video clip advertising system.

But he confirmed that the various features would be rolled out one by one over the next few months. There won't be one big release he said.

The audience of the YouTube website will not have to put up with overly long "pre-roll" adverts. Mr Hurley said a clip of three seconds length was one of the options, although the details had not been worked out yet.

Other video sharing sites such as Revver already split advertising revenues with users uploading original content, but only YouTube has managed to attract an audience measuring in the tens of millions.

Mr Hurley said the fact that YouTube had not had a revenue sharing model was one of the reasons for its success, as that had allowed the website to focus on its key strength, making it easy to share videos with others.

YouTube has repeatedly clashed with film studios and music publishers over copyrighted material that has been uploaded to the website.

The company says that it is quick to remove copyrighted material on the site that has been brought to its attention.

Since the takeover by Google, YouTube has also negotiated a string of deals with large media groups, which also involve some revenue sharing.

Melissa and her husband Mark lived a great life and were very much in love. He had a terrific job that allowed them the comforts of a plush home.

Mark worked for an oil company and was an executive on the rise. They had identified him as a person on the "fasttrack", and it seemed like it would only get better for these two.

With everything in life coming together for them, it made perfect sense to add more love to their family...

It was time to have a baby.

Mark made enough that Melissa never had to work outside of the home, so she could be there to provide the love and attention their child would need.

And Melissa was thrilled. She had always cherished the idea of becoming a mother... of knowing that kind of unconditional love.

And so, just a year after their decision to grow their family, Jacob was born, a healthy 8 pounds and 7 ounces.

A New reality...

Jacob was 3 when he walked in on Mark hanging from a rafter in their garage, 2 of his belts connected to one another to form a makeshift noose.

He was too young to understand, but when Melissa walked in and saw, her screams of agony scared him, and he began to cry too.

Turns out that Mark was keeping a few secrets from his wife and young son.

When he opened the letter from his mortgage company he wasn't really surprised, but it was the final blow that crushed what was left of his spirit.

Think about it, in your everyday life the kind of women you desire are not only found in bars and clubs, but are often in the places you least expect to find them.

The problem is that most guys think it is only acceptable to meet women at bars and clubs or through mutual friends. And even if they think its OK, they don’t know what to do.

It’s happened to us all before. You have called her and the conversation is going well. You gather your courage and ask her if she wants to meet you on Saturday and she says “That is really sweet, but I can’t.”

The problem here is that you asked her a “yes or no” question, and she chose “no” because it is easy and she thinks she can always say yes later if she wants. But once she has chosen not to meet you, it’s like a circuit switches on in her brain that makes it easy to keep saying no to you because she already has.

Salesmen know this, and so they never ask you a “yes or no” question. Instead they use these two time tested techniques:

Technique 1 - Assume the sale!

I know this principle and still it was used on me recently to get me to buy a subscription to an investment newspaper. The sales guy called up and launched into the description of his product, asked me some open ended questions about my investment interests and needs. After I answered them, he enthusiastically said “Great, it sounds like this newspaper meets all those needs!”

He simply assumed I wanted to buy his newspaper. I didn’t have a chance to tell him I didn’t want to buy because he hadn’t asked me a “yes or no” question about buying.

With a woman you are talking to her on the phone, you can do the same thing when setting up a meeting. Once you know a little about what she likes, you simply start describing how fun a certain activity is. When she agrees, you talk about how nice it will be to do that activity together. When she agrees to that too, you simply assume that means she wants to do it with you. Then follow up with:

Technique 2 - Close the deal by offering choices that all lead to the sale!

“So would you like to use Visa, Master Card, or Discover?”

When the salesman said these words to me the first thing that popped into my mind was a picture of the credit cards in my wallet, and which would be better to use. It happened automatically, even though I knew the technique he was using. I wound up buying the subscription and I am really glad I did because what I learned from it helped me to make more money in the stock market!

So let’s apply this technique to setting up the meeting with the woman you have called in the example above. You have just described the thing you want to do with her and have assumed the sale. Now just say:

“Great! So would you like to meet on Saturday on Sunday?”

Both choices lead to meeting you, and the unstated fact underlying the statement is that she has already agreed to meet you, now it is just a question of determining when. You will be amazed how often this works!

I love this quote from the 18th century French author and famous seducer Voltaire, because it holds a lot of wisdom about why most men are successful with women and only a select few are VERY successful.

You see, many men are trying to CONQUER women - attempting to force women to like them by spending money on them or giving them unoriginal gifts. These men do all the same things and they end up boring women because they don't know how to SEDUCE them. Why?

The good news is that seduction is something you can LEARN, just as Voltaire implies in his famous quote.

Think about it, men have been seducing women for thousands of years, so if you can even learn just some of the attitudes and techniques that they have used, then you too can be wildly successful with women!

Here are just two of the many attitudes and understandings that you must have to be more successful with women:

“There is an abundance of women in the world.”

Most guys, maybe yourself included, tend to only focus their attention on one woman who they simply can’t get their mind off of. Usually it’s a woman who is not really interested in them in return.

While it is good to have a focus, the problem is that they act like she is the only woman in the world, and she picks up on this both consciously and unconsciously. It comes across as needy, and puts her in the position of power to choose you, not the other way around.

It's like economics applied to dating. If you think the supply of women is small, you will do stupid things like pay too much just to date them. She will understand she can chose you anytime, and she feels there is no challenge, so she will keep her options open because she knows she can have you anytime she wants and there is no need to hurry.

If instead you realize there really are billions of women in the world, and understand that you can always meet other women at any time, then you will have a more relaxed and powerful attitude that women will pick up on instantly.

Following this logic, you want to reverse the above supply and demand perception so that women understand you are a unique man who chooses women, not the other way around.

Whatever the reason you get stuck not knowing how to get her number. Why?

Many times a man will meet a new woman, have a great conversation, and then never get a chance to see her again because he hesitated to get her contact information for whatever reason - simply for the fact that asking in the first place made him nervous.

Here is a SIMPLE solution for you:

Carry a few small pieces of paper in your pocket and also a pen. When you get that oh-so-familiar feeling the conversation might be winding down and that voice in your head telling you it's time to get her contact info... rather than say anything, simply pull out the pen and a piece of paper while you're still talking (and remember to do this very casually), write your number on one side of the paper, rip it in 2 pieces (your number on one piece, and the other piece blank), then simply hand both pieces casually to her along with your pen as if it's presumed what she will do. You do not need to draw attention to this action at all, make it completely casual as if no attention needs to be brought to it. She will understand the purpose, take the piece with your number, use your pen to write her own number on the blank piece, then hand your pen back to you along with her number, and she will also not need to say a word - the ritual will be understood. Nothing could be simpler.

Being too much of a nice guy
Women don't base their choice of men on how "nice" a guy is. They choose the men they do because they feel a powerful gut level attraction to them. Being a nice guy won't make a woman feel that powerful attraction to you. And being nice won't make a woman choose you. However, that doesn't mean you should be a total jerk either.
Trying to convince her to like you
You cannot convince a woman to feel differently about you by means "logic and reasoning." If a woman doesn't "feel it" for you, how in the world do you expect to change that feeling? It's the same as if you don't "feel it" for a woman who's attracted to you. Nothing is likely to change that
Looking for her approval
This is okay to a point, but women actually get annoyed at men who seek their approval too much. Grow a spine.
Trying to buy her affection
Your good intentions usually come across to women as overcompensation for insecurity, and weak attempts at manipulation. That's right, I said that women see this as manipulation. Unless they are golddiggers. Then get your wallet out. Or better yet, run for the hills.
Sharing your feelings too early
Nothing turns an attractive woman off and sends her running away faster than a guy who starts saying "You know, I really, really like you" after only one or two dates.This signals to the woman that you're just like all the other guys who fall for her too fast and can't control themselves.
